Lerwick   10 comments

Hope you all had a great weekend, sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I’ve sort of lost the enthusiasm of late, I still try and get out and shoot but it’s not things you want to see, the whole idea of starting this blog was to show you a side of the offshore industry you would not normally get to see, and that was always the positive side.

So now you are stuck with some of my travel shots instead, this was a cold, wet, miserable evening in Lerwick, (the capital and main port of the Shetland Islands), but even so, still a really nice place to visit.

A nice walk around the small fishing harbour, until I was drenched through.

Next posts will be from the Caribbean, yeah I know, but someone has to do it.

  1. I always enjoy seeing whatever you choose to post, and when it’s Shetland, all the better. 🙂 I especially like that second shot although the first one really makes me feel as if I’m in Lerwick. I’m looking forward to you taking us to warmer climes with your Caribbean pics. Safe journey.

  2. Sometimes discouragement and the enthusiasm for blogging wanes…I know. The important thing is not to feel pressured to create posts and just let it happen when it needs to. I certainly like your travel photos and i love the second image.

  3. I like them!

And don’t beat yourself up about the photos/blogging/reading other blogs thing.

We all struggle with adding these things into our “real” lives.

We’re all in the same boat! (pun intended, of course).

  4. I appreciate the photos you post; it’s good for me to see the world through another’s lens. A cold, wet day in the Shetland Islands can still contain beauty and you show that to us. Thank you. We are trying to ramp up our courage for what promises to be (gasp) an icy night in New Orleans.

  5. Have you not posted from here before – quiet surreal in many ways – bright colour against a typically Scottish drab weather background = well composed Rigmover
