Who is Rigmover?
Well I’m a Kiwi, living in London, and as part of a small team I move drilling platforms, not by hand of course, we use boats called AHV’s (Anchor Handling Vessels). We move and position them all over the World. I work mainly way north of Scotland to anywhere in the Med, this picture of me was taking as we towed a rig into Haifa (Israel) you can see the AHV in the distance.
I’m not a photographer, just enjoy snapping away at the many sights I get to see as I travel the globe.
Hope you enjoy my blog.
I don’t know why I’m standing like that!

I have nominated you for the Sunshine Award. You can check it out at my blog http://seasonsgirl.wordpress.com/2012/06/16/sunshine-award/ on how to follow though with the award

Thanks Lynne.
Don’t have any awards to offer but I think it’s great you’re blogging. I quit working on drilling rigs (mostly mudlogging, I’m a geo) a couple years ago to focus on the photog., but may be returning soon. This encourages me to keep up the blogging when/if I do. Thanks.
Thanks mflaherty, yeah keep blogging.
Hi there,
I’m the second mate on the Maersk laser, I found your blog after searching for info about the laser, coincidentally for my own blog, I started it 2weeks ago and after seeing your blog it’s definitely given me a whole new level of professionalism to reach with my own.
I hope all is well over there.
Spencer
Hi Spencer, thanks for the visit, yeah get in there and start blogging, ill check out your blog. You’ve had some pretty rough seas for a while, hope its calmed down now.
You say that you are not a photographer, but you are very talented and I look forward to seeing more of your shots!
By the way, like yourself, I love travelling too. And until now, the most beautiful place that I have visited, in my opinion, is your home country: New Zealand
Thanks for stopping by my blog! =) You’ve got some great pics here! Cheers!

Stumbled on your blog via Adam Allegro’s blog, you have some great photos and coincidentally I was watching a documentary about rig movers only a couple of nights ago! You must get to see some awesome stuff to photograph as you are doing your job as well as while your feet are on solid ground.
Adam’s photos are awesome, way out of my league, yeah I do get to see some pretty cool stuff, unfortunately sometimes I’m not allowed to use my camera.
Thanks for showing us places and people thru your lens. You have a very good eye. Best, The Cooks Austin, Texas
Thank you Jeff & Cindy.
